This piece was painted at a wooden table in Carter Notch Hut in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. I finished my soup and took some time to paint this scene before hiking the last miles of the day.
This painting's imperfections reflect the journey it took in my backpack for hundreds of miles until I could take it home. It was originally created on a 3.5" x 4"-piece of watercolor paper with a paint set that was the size of the palm of my hand.
Printed on thick matte paper.
