This painting was created at night under the light of my headlamp after a long day of hiking using a reference photo. It ended up becoming one of my favorites of the entire collection because of the way it captures the stark light and colors of late fall in Appalachia.
This painting was originally created on a 3.5" x 4"-piece of watercolor paper with a paint set that was the size of the palm of my hand.
