This painting was created at night under the light of my headlamp after a long day of hiking using a reference photo. It ended up becoming one of my favorites of the entire collection because of the way it captures the stark light and colors of late fall.
This painting traveled with me in my backpack for hundreds of miles until I could send it home with a stack of other paintings. It was originally created on a 3.5" x 4"-piece of watercolor paper with a paint set that was the size of the palm of my hand.
Printed on 12" x 18" thick matte paper.
